InvestorCOM Statement: Cyber Incident
InvestorCOM recently became aware of a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to the company’s systems related to GoAnywhere, the third-party software used for secure data transfers. This GoAnywhere breach has impacted numerous organizations in addition to InvestorCOM.
Upon discovering this incident, we immediately engaged a team of external cybersecurity experts to conduct a forensic investigation and take the necessary steps to address the issue. Our systems are secure and have at all times remained operational and we continue to offer services to our clients.
We have confirmed that the incident did not have an impact on our own systems other than the SFTP system which hosted the GoAnywhere application. We have also confirmed that the incident has been contained.
The forensic investigation has determined that certain information related to a small number of our Canadian clients was impacted by this incident. We have notified all impacted clients and are working closely with them.
