Throughout her internship, Ahorna embraced each of these opportunities. She contributed across feature development, product strategy and market research. Along the way, she brought curiosity, initiative and thoughtful problem-solving to the team.

The achievement she is most proud of was contributing to InvestorCOM’s upcoming product initiatives.

“It has been incredibly rewarding to see my ideas, research, and contributions evolve into solutions that help create meaningful value for advisors and their clients.”

Her experience reflects an important part of product development at InvestorCOM. Strong solutions begin with a clear understanding of the people who will use them and the problems they need to solve. That process also shaped the most important lesson Ahorna will carry into her next chapter: the value of simplicity in product thinking.

“I’ve learned that the most intuitive and impactful solutions often come from understanding the fundamentals of a problem and removing unnecessary complexity.”

Simplicity can be difficult to achieve. It requires asking the right questions, looking beyond surface-level challenges and making deliberate choices about what truly matters. It is a principle that will continue to serve Ahorna well wherever her career takes her.

For Ahorna, another highlight was being part of an environment that encouraged ownership and initiative. With mentorship and support from the InvestorCOM team, she was able to explore different areas of the business, accept new responsibilities and grow throughout the internship.

Her advice to future interns captures the mindset she brought to the experience:
