Convergence and the Retirement Advice Reset

The Future of Retirement Advice: Growth, Regulation and the Rollover Opportunity

Upcoming Webinar: September 17, 1pm ET

Retirement advice is entering a new era. The traditional lines between retirement plans, wealth management, rollovers, and retirement income are disappearing. Advisors are being asked to help clients navigate a broader range of decisions: whether to remain in a plan, roll assets into an IRA, consolidate accounts, or incorporate annuities and other income solutions into a retirement strategy.

Nearly $48 trillion sits in the U.S. retirement market, with roughly $1 trillion moving through IRA rollovers annually and $464 billion in annual annuity sales. The opportunity is massive, but so is the complexity.

Winning firms will need more than products. They will need a scalable retirement advice process that helps advisors compare options, incorporate annuities and income solutions where appropriate, document recommendations, manage conflicts, and maintain oversight—without adding more friction.

The challenge is to build for growth while remaining adaptable, consistent, and defensible as the retirement landscape continues to change.

Join wealth industry leaders on September 17 at 1 p.m. ET for a conversation covering:

  • The convergence reshaping retirement advice: Why retirement planning, wealth management, rollovers and income are becoming part of one connected conversation.
  • Expanding the range of choices: How advisors can evaluate staying in a plan, rolling into an IRA, consolidating assets and incorporating retirement income products.
  • Bringing income into the advice process: How firms can make annuities and other income solutions a natural part of retirement planning when they align with the client’s needs.
  • Operationalizing best interest: How firms can embed comparison, conflict management, rationale and documentation into the recommendation workflow.
  • Improving efficiency without sacrificing rigor: How technology can reduce fragmented processes and repetitive work while supporting more consistent outcomes.
  • Scaling advice and supervision: How firms can create repeatable processes that support advisor adoption and provide compliance teams with firm-wide oversight.
